Oh look I drew something. Characters from a story I wrote but will probably never get around to drawing.

So, I’ve been doing the pencils all at once for the first issue of Berkshire Street instead of inking as I go, here’s a sample. I’m doing it this way so I can make changes if something doesn’t feel right once I can see them all laid out full size. I Guess I’m actually kinda sketchy with my pencils, which is probably one reason I use so much whiteout when it comes time to ink them.
I haven’t posted in a while though because the holidays were kinda crazy, like with parties and stuff! (Parties? At the holidays!?)
At one of those parties I talked to this guy who’s part of this awesome music, movies and general culture blog Songs and Cigarettes, you should check it out! It’s got movie reviews and music commentary and GIFs and all sorts of good stuff. I think I even saw something on the Republican primary in there. And this isn’t even The States. This is Canada. He also linked to me and that’s fucking awesome.
Sidenote: Those snowmen cupcakes “Tim Shitty”(not his real name unless my memory is even worse than I thought) has a picture of in that post were also at that same party. And they were amazing.
‘Course I guess the holidays were ages ago now but I really have no idea what happened to the first three weeks of January… I still feel like New Year’s was last weekend.
Haven’t posted anything in forever so here’s a comic page from a pet project I’ve been dabbling with. No dialog as of yet as it’s subject to change and completely out of context anyway.
Another painting from last term, think this is my favorite. The representational parts are based on a Toronto archives photo (s1465_fl0025_id0002) looking south at Front and Spadina when the bridge was only 4 lanes, probably from about 1988. acrylic, 36”x36”
Ok, and here’s a recent spread from my sketchbook. See? I can sorta draw too. Sometimes. Hopefully this tumblr will lead to more drawing.
